Health Benefits of Yoga
Even though yoga isn’t as trendy as it used to be, it still has numerous health benefits. I like doing yoga when I’m not feeling up to a regular workout or if I’m still sore from a previous workout.
I started doing yoga a couple of years ago and am completely sold.
Benefits of yoga:
- Helps us learn to listen to our bodies.
- Increases flexibility and balance.
- Reduces stress significantly in a short amount of time.
- Some sources say it can fight depression.

There are all sorts of different types of yoga practice. Bikram is a popular practice that is practiced in a high temp high humidity room. My gym offers “Bootie Bootcamp Yoga”. There are also gentler practices that are great for pregnant women and people just starting their practice.
